At Tapper Interiors, SFS is one of the construction services we provide as part of our wider commercial and industrial fit-out work. Our team works with architects, designers, project managers and clients to deliver steel framing systems alongside other elements of a project.

What Are Steel Framing Systems?

Steel Framing Systems use cold-formed steel sections assembled to create a framework for wall construction. The framework is formed from a series of connected steel sections, which are installed on site before the associated wall construction is completed.

SFS can be used to form both internal and external walls. The system can therefore be incorporated into different areas of a commercial or industrial building, depending on the construction works included within the project.

Unlike traditional construction methods that rely on heavier structural materials, SFS uses lightweight steel sections to create the wall framework. The system can be assembled as part of new construction, extension and refurbishment works, with other building elements installed alongside the completed frame.

Where Are Steel Framing Systems Used?

SFS is used across a range of commercial and industrial environments, including warehouses, manufacturing facilities, industrial units and other commercial premises.

One application is the construction of extensions to existing buildings. For warehouses and industrial facilities, steel framing can be used to create the framework for additional areas of the building. The framing is assembled on site before the associated wall construction and external finishes are installed.

SFS can also be used within existing commercial premises where new internal areas are being constructed. This can include wall structures created as part of fit-out and refurbishment works, with the framing forming part of the wider construction package.

The system is therefore found across different types of project, from new commercial construction and building extensions through to alterations and refurbishment works within existing premises.

Steel Framing and Project Delivery

The installation of SFS forms one element of a wider construction programme. The steel framework needs to be coordinated with the other works taking place on a project, including associated wall construction and other internal or external elements.

At Tapper Interiors, our SFS services form part of our commercial and industrial fit-out and refurbishment work. We work alongside architects, designers, project managers and clients throughout project delivery, coordinating our construction works with the wider project programme.

Our work covers commercial interiors and industrial environments, with SFS delivered alongside other construction services where it forms part of the project scope.
