As we move into the new year, we thought we’d share what we believe to the top office design trends for 2025.
As interior fit-out specialists, we complete many office interiors throughout the course of a year. During our time in the industry, we have seen trends come in and out of fashion. So, what does 2025 hold for us?
Top Office Design Trends for 2025
There are several office design trends that we believe will be big in 2025. Most of these have been popular in 2024, but they should continue to grow through the new year.
Embracing Natural Light – Making the most of the natural light in your office space can be important for so many reasons. It is important for the mental health and well-being of your employees to be exposed to it whilst also making the office a more pleasant place to be. If you’re working in an open-plan office space, then glass partitions can be a great way to maximise the natural light available whilst creating smaller meeting rooms and lowering noise levels.
Adaptable Working Spaces – since the pandemic, many workplaces have kept their hybrid working model. This means that their office space is used in a very different way. Offices can now be smaller as they don’t need to house all employees at the same time. One of the office design trends for 2025 is to embrace this by creating adaptable workspaces. Hot desking and video conferencing are becoming more popular, so adaptable desks and breakout rooms are more on trend than ever.
Shared Office Spaces – again, following the change in working habits, there are some office spaces which can be hired as shared spaces. You could book a room, a desk or a pod in a shared office space. This is great if you are meeting clients or customers from around the country and want some middle ground. When it comes to office design trends, we see this one growing significantly in 2025.
Acoustic Solutions – another element which is growing recently is the way businesses are investing in acoustic solutions. These days there are so many different options that the acoustic panels become part of the interior design of the office space. At Tapper interiors, we specialise in all types of acoustic baffles, we can advise you on the best size and type for your office space.
Sustainability – Sustainability is trending in all industries, and office designs are no exception. Sustainability can be incorporated into your office interior design by choosing sustainable materials that increase the energy efficiency of the space.
Branding – Incorporating your brand into your office interior design has been common for many years now. 2025 will bring the same elements we used in 2024, and this will probably continue into the future. One of the alternative ways to brand your office interior is through custom manifestations, which are used on glass partitions. It is a legal requirement to have a glass partition with manifestations, so why not embrace this idea and invest in branded ones?
Focus on Wellbeing – A focus on wellbeing is another trend that has made its way into multiple industries. This can be incorporated into office interior design through many of the above trends; ensuring your employees have natural light, a calm and quiet place to work, and are comfortable in their environment can have a big impact on overall well-being.
