What is a Partition Wall? 

A demountable partition wall is an internal non-load-bearing wall which is constructed within a building. They’re used to divide large spaces into smaller rooms or breakout areas. They also incorporate doors for a fully flexible solution.

Depending on where they are used and the building regulations, partition walls are constructed of various materials to ensure they are fit for purpose.

For open-plan offices, we can offer stud wall partitions or glass partitions. Glass partitions are also often used in showrooms as they keep an open plan feel and offer a stylish finish.

For industrial environments, we offer stronger partitions with higher fire ratings.

Unless you are making alterations to a listed building, there is no need for planning permission to fit an internal wall. This may be different types of plasterboard, acoustic insulation or double glazing for glass partitions. We offer fire-rated partition walls, which are available with different ratings, achieved through different wall thicknesses and different types of plasterboard. Glass partitions can also be fire rated if required. We can also offer walls with added security features to prevent or deter break-ins where required.

Tapper Interiors is an interior “fit-out” company, working in the Industrial and Commercial construction sector.  We work on large scale contracts nationwide, as well as many smaller contracts locally. 

As part of the service we provide, we employ Interior Systems ‘Finisher’ Tape & Jointers and have two training positions available.

Knowledge/experience of plastering would be an advantage, but not essential.

The job:

• No formal qualifications required, but some construction experience would be a bonus
• Would suit practically minded individuals, willing to apply themselves to a new discipline in a fast- growing sector
• Some working away, under supervision

• Attention to detail
• Polite and courteous to colleagues and customers

We offer:

• 40 hour week permanent employment contract (following probationary period)
• All training will be provided, with a view to NVQ’s being achieved
• All transport, tools and site clothing
• 28 days paid holiday
• Auto enrolment pension at age 22 (following probationary period)
